I never know how to answer this one. I tend to go back and forth between yes and no. Here is where I am right now – submission is a gift, but no more a gift than anything else.

I exist. My life has worth and value. I bring my gifts and talents to all my relationships. I am submissive. Submission is one of those gifts. I can also cook. I don’t believe that my submission is more of a gift than my ability to cook. I do not cook because I am submissive. If Sir cooked, frozen pizza and take-out is all we would eat.

My submissive nature is who I am. It’s a way to describe me – just like saying I am right handed, or short, or have blue eyes. Is having blue eyes a gift? They say that blue-eyed men prefer blue-eyed woman, so in that way I am glad that I have blue eyes. (Sir’s are also blue) According to Wikipedia only 2.2% of the world’s population has blue eyes, but being in the land of Minnesota nice, I suspect that the percentage is higher locally.

There is one thing I have that I do think is a great gift – I am family orientated, I fight to protect my family and I study/learn to be the best I can be. Maybe that is in part because I am submissive. Either way, I am glad that I take such good care our my Sir and our fur kids.
